Jonathan Shumaker, Managing Partner

Jonathan Shumaker is a Managing Partner of Cross Lake. From 2008 through 2018, Mr. Shumaker was a Partner at Paulson & Co., where he helped to start the real estate private equity group and served as a member of the Investment Committee. From 2004 through mid-2008, Mr. Shumaker worked within the Lehman Brothers Real Estate Private Equity Group (“LBREP”), serving most recently as a Principal of LBREP. Mr. Shumaker’s responsibilities at LBREP included sourcing, structuring and executing transactions throughout the U.S. and across numerous property types. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Shumaker was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Citigroup, where he participated in numerous advisory assignments for public companies across several industries. He began his career in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Citigroup, where he was involved with several financings and advisory assignments for public and private real estate companies. Mr. Shumaker received a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 2004 and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in 1999.
